Happy Wellness Wednesday EduCreator!

Yesterday I spoke with a friend who works for one of the largest (and wealthiest) school districts in the US, Fairfax County. She has been teaching foreign language classes for over a decade and she is the least senior on her team. I’m shocked at how little access and awareness these teachers have, despite the fact they have been teaching for a century combined in a school district that has a large enough budget to truly transform teaching and learning for their school community.

What we are building requires a brick by brick process. It can’t be rushed and its impact should never be underestimated.

This movement and mission of making advanced technology more accessible to the people that need it most (parents, educators, professionals, entrepreneurs etc) is going to happen (at first) in 1:1 conversations.

I asked her “what task could you delegate that would save you one hour each day?” Her answer sent me on a mission to find the tool and it hardly took any time. This happens to be her spring break, so I’ll be meeting with her again today to show her. It’s going to blow her mind and a ripple effect will take place. She’ll want to tell her work friends, one who happens to be the head of the technology department.

I’ll also be joining Ross’ (from Tech in Schools) SaaS class tonight (info below) to start working on the project for my mom’s boss, an immigration lawyer. Both of these demos I anticipate will be able to move the needle forward with what we’re building. Stay tuned for more updates.

Today’s Schedule (see “Events” below for links):

I highly recommend joining this space co-hosted by one of our Founders, Sarah Hodson, if you are interested in building your Saas (Software as a Service product) with AI. Please carefully read this post so you are ready for this super valuable opportunity.

Have a great day!

Mini-Lesson: How to focus on one idea

In yesterday’s class, we discussed having so many ideas it can feel overwhelming. Not knowing how to organize our ideas and prioritize, will have us distracted and feeling discouraged by the lack of results. It’s important to FOCUS on one idea. But how?

To focus on just one idea, it is essential to follow a structured approach to identify the most promising concept.

Here are some key steps based on the information from the provided sources:

1. List and Evaluate Ideas: Begin by listing all your ideas and then evaluate them based on factors like passion, potential profitability, required investment, and skills needed[1]. This evaluation process helps in narrowing down the options to a few top ideas.

2. Identify Passion and Problem-Solving: Choose an idea that you are passionate about solving a real-world problem for others[2]. It's crucial to focus on addressing a need or pain point in the market to increase the chances of success.

3. Seek Support and Mentorship: Connect with others who share similar goals and consider joining a mastermind group or seeking mentorship[1]. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals can provide valuable insights and support in staying focused.

4. Create a Structured Plan: Develop a detailed plan for your chosen idea, outlining the steps needed to bring it to life[3]. Setting clear goals and action steps can help maintain focus and track progress effectively.

5. Avoid Overwhelm: Resist the temptation to pursue multiple ideas simultaneously as it can dilute your energy and hinder progress[2]. Focus on one project at a time to ensure dedicated attention and effort towards its success.

By following these steps, you can effectively concentrate on one idea, increasing your chances of turning it into a successful venture.
