2025 Will Be the BEST *Sober* Year Ever!
Join me and Jodell Jordan today at 12pmEST for our first "Sober Living" Space

Happy New Year EduCreators!
I hope you brought in the new year safely and with people you love!
I spent the last 12 days of 2024 complete sober from cannabis after smoking everyday for almost 10 years.
What made me decide to stop?
It was a slow and stressful process of heading towards “rock bottom” after a decade of loss, major life transitions, some very unexpected, like the loss of my first son.
I wasn’t dealing with any of these transitions fully because I was very effectively numbing the pain and hurt with the ganja. The plant is VERY good at this, but this does not lead to the strength and resilience to really deal with life and become a better human.
Being a mother to Romeo and accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior had me considering, for the first time in 10 years, to let this major crutch go.
I have a new desire to be obedient to God’s highest purpose for my life and to be the best mother I can be.
I let it go kicking and screaming inside, and sometimes I still feel that way.
I started becoming painfully aware of how much time I was spending away from my son to go have a “relaxing smoke.” After all, I deserved it for working so hard right?
I also couldn’t ignore the dangers of getting pulled over by the police with him in the car and them smelling yesterday’s smoke session.
Seeing how much money I was spending every week was making the anxiety that was once easily medicated now become a persistent paranoia.
December 19th, 2024 is my new birthday (clean date)
On Monday I went to my first NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meeting and yesterday I went to my second. I picked up my white chip, which symbolizes my commitment to recovery.
My goal is to go to 90 meetings in 90 days, which is what they recommend for newcomers.
Ready to have your best year ever?!
Join us today at 9amPST/12pmEST, and every Wednesday for the next 12 Wednesdays, as Jodell leads us through the 12 steps (one step per space). The space is open to all (whether you deal with addiction or not) and will not be recorded.
These steps are truly transformational and we believe will create a strong foundation for the rest of the year.
