In November, I participated in a Hackathon through the FaithTech community. In less than 6 hours total, my team built a fully functional web-based app with a frontend and backend. This was not a prototype.
Our team won the Product Design award and since them I’ve built over 7 apps. I’m using a few of them on a daily basis to automate tasks and build assets for my community.
As I’m building, I’m amazed by how easy this is and I know that 99%+ of the world has no idea what’s possible.
So today I decided to create a post on LinkedIn that proves a simple app can be built in less than 10 minutes. I recorded the process as proof.

Build a Calendly-style app in less than 10 minutes
I built this app this morning.
No prep.
No planning session.
No warm up.
I opened Lovable, recorded my screen, and built a working app in under 10 minutes. I am sharing the video so you can see the full build from start to finish.
What I followed was a very simple process.
The exact process I used
First, I chose a micro project
A simple app I already use regularly.
Scheduling.
Not a startup idea.
Not a big vision.
Just something practical.
Second, I anchored it to something familiar
Calendly.
Using a known reference removes friction and guesswork.
Third, I typed one simple prompt into Lovable and turned on chat.
Here is the exact prompt I used:
Create a simple single user app similar to Calendly that allows me to manage my Google Calendar and schedule 1 to 1 sessions. I would also like the app to have a simple built in CRM to manage these contacts and schedule follow ups.
That was the whole prompt.
Fourth, I answered a few quick questions
Lovable asked clarifying questions in chat. I clicked the preferred option.
Fifth, the app was built
In minutes.
What matters here
This is not about building another Calendly.
It is about understanding what is now possible.
If you can:
• think of a simple app you already use
• describe what it does
• type a clear prompt
You can build a working tool.
Examples from the post still apply:
• notes app like Google Keep or Notion
• task management app like Google Tasks
• image generation app like Ideogram
• translation app like Google Translate
• scheduling app like Calendly
• community app like Skool
These are not unreachable ideas anymore. They are starting points.
The point here is to build and see what’s possible. You won’t know until you start.
The real shift
The skill is no longer coding.
The skill is clarity.
If you can explain a tool you wish existed, you are already qualified to build it.
