Build apps for your community
Join us for an all day festival for builders on Saturday!
Hello EduCreators!
Thanks to the wonderful work of Ross with Tech in Schools Initiative and his team, many members of the EduCreator community have started learning how to code and develop apps. If you are like me, a 7 week live public course is very hard to keep up with energy wise. So I’ve been working on a solution and as usual, the community has stepped up.
Vladimir, Founder of My Robot School, has offered to teach us how to develop apps in just a few hours (2-4). We’re going to start by building one app together for the community and then you will be able to learn how to build your own with hands on troubleshooting and support, from idea to finished app!
Stay tuned to learn more about our first community app. I will keep you all updated on this throughout the week. I met with Vladimir today and if you are a Spaces host, or thinking of becoming one, you’re going to LOVE this!
Two pre-events to look out for:
We will first learn how to build, deploy, and market/sell one app that benefits the entire community, together.
This Saturday Vladimir is planning an all day live build where he will be doing a marathon of app design and creation. I have agreed to support this event and make it a fun opportunity for the EduCreator community as well.
This event will be live-streamed on multiple platforms and is intended to gain attention for the upcoming live app build for OCC (we’ll build together before you learn how to build your own). Save the date, more info to come.
Join us next Wednesday at 2pmEST for a preview event. During this first session, we will be introducing the cohort to app development in a 90 minute FREE workshop.
The Five Principles of Community Design
Did you miss Episode 11 of #EduCreatorLIVE 🎙️ all about the principles of community design? You can catch the replay and an educational thread here.
During the Live App Build Series, you’ll get to see first hand what it’s like to design solutions for problems that exist in your community. These principles operate as a framework for community designers and builders.
The Flywheel model reminds us how powerful it is to design and build with your community (Ideal Members) in mind.
