Golden Happy Hour by the pool
Hello {{first_name | EduCreator}},
I am a huge fan of validating an idea BEFORE I launch it to the public. I’ve done this many times now and I have learned that not every brilliant thought is something my audience, or the broader market, is looking for. At least, not from me.
When I decided to re-Launch my first brand Bliss House as a local media company, I started by sharing the idea with just a couple female founders (my ideal participant). I got feedback, saw which parts made them shift their energy to excitement, and curated an in person experience accordingly.
By the time I put the initial $1,000 investment into an overnight pre-launch event, I had an invite list of 33 ready to go. Within a week, the initial investment (which secured the location) was paid for through founder and sponsor direct invites.
I planned and executed Founders Residence in about 3 weeks. The entire event was paid for through sponsorship and I now have a validated idea, and a small but very connected community of 15 female founders ideally ready to go to the next level with me.
The vision is to launch together. This is something I’ve been doing with the EduCreator community since 2024: hosting live public launches. These have led to some great products, communities, and personal brands finally gaining exposure.
In this letter, I’m going to share step by step how I do this. You don’t need more than 50 strong personal and professional contacts.
Before we go any further, let’s check out these words from today’s sponsors. Thank you so much for supporting the partners of this newsletter.

How to Test Your Offer With 50 People or Less
If you want to validate an idea before a full launch, think of this as a pre-launch, not a product release.
Before you go shouting this from the rooftops,
you are testing for validation inside a curated environment.
You have 30 days.
You need fewer than 50 people.
That is enough.
Here is how to structure it strategically.
1. Curate your first 50 intentionally
Start with your inner circle and extended network. Build a list of ideally 50 names.
Inside that 50, identify 2 groups:
10 people who are experts, professionals, leaders, or potential founders with budget
40 people who would genuinely benefit as participants
The 10 are not random. They should have:
Credibility
Experience
Decision making power
Financial capacity
These are your VIPs.
The other 40 create the space. They bring energy, engagement, and audience dynamics.
This structure changes everything.
Instead of launching alone into silence, you create a live ecosystem.
2. Offer the 10 a VIP experience
Reach out to the 10 individually.
Be clear and direct.
Tell them:
You are hosting a private pre launch experience
You are curating a room of 40 aligned participants
You would love them featured in a VIP role
The VIP experience could include:
A short spotlight interview
A seat at a private roundtable
Direct introductions to participants
Priority positioning in the Founder offer
You are not asking them to buy first.
You are inviting them into influence.
Leaders are drawn to rooms where they can contribute, connect, and access aligned people.
3. Invite the 40 as participants
Now invite the remaining 40.
Position it as:
A private vision session
A curated founder room
A chance to learn from experienced professionals
An opportunity to access something before it goes public
The 40 benefit from:
Exposure to the 10
Access to insight and mentorship
First access to your Founder offer
The 10 benefit from:
An engaged audience
Strategic visibility
Relationship opportunities
You create value for both sides.
This is pre-launch leverage.
Before we get to the other 3 steps, lets check out a quick word from one of today’s sponsors.
How Jennifer Anniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads

For its first CTV campaign, Jennifer Aniston’s DTC haircare brand LolaVie had a few non-negotiables. The campaign had to be simple. It had to demonstrate measurable impact. And it had to be full-funnel.
LolaVie used Roku Ads Manager to test and optimize creatives — reaching millions of potential customers at all stages of their purchase journeys. Roku Ads Manager helped the brand convey LolaVie’s playful voice while helping drive omnichannel sales across both ecommerce and retail touchpoints.
The campaign included an Action Ad overlay that let viewers shop directly from their TVs by clicking OK on their Roku remote. This guided them to the website to buy LolaVie products.

The DTC beauty category is crowded. To break through, Jennifer Anniston’s brand LolaVie, worked with Roku Ads Manager to easily set up, test, and optimize CTV ad creatives. The campaign helped drive a big lift in sales and customer growth, helping LolaVie break through in the crowded beauty category.
4. Structure the pre-launch event
Host a 60 to 90 minute virtual session.
Flow could look like this:
Open with your story and the vision
Clearly define the problem your offer solves
Share your framework or proposed solution
Spotlight 2 to 3 VIP voices briefly
Facilitate light discussion or Q and A
Present the Founder offer
When you introduce the Founder offer, it should feel like the natural next step, not a hard sell.
Clarify:
What the first version includes
The limited Founder rate
The start date
The number of seats available
Then open the invitation.
5. Do not launch alone
One of the biggest mistakes founders make is trying to carry the entire pre-launch themselves.
Instead:
Partner with 1 to 3 other aligned founders
Co-host the event
Share audiences
Cross promote the invitation
When multiple founders bring their communities together, energy multiplies. The room feels alive. Validation becomes clearer because you are seeing demand across networks, not just your own.
Collaboration reduces pressure and increases reach.
6. Measure validation the right way
After the event, look at real signals:
How many VIPs expressed interest in deeper involvement
How many participants asked about next steps
How many people committed and paid
What objections surfaced
You do not need massive numbers.
If 5 to 15 people enroll as Founders from a room of 50, you have proof. That is strong conversion in a pre launch environment.
If interest is soft, refine your messaging and test again.
Why this pre launch model works
It creates a curated ecosystem instead of a cold audience.
It leverages social proof through respected voices.
It generates early revenue before heavy build out.
It builds momentum through collaboration.
You are not testing in isolation.
You are creating a micro environment that mirrors your future community.
Fewer than 50 people is enough to see patterns.
10 strong leaders in a room can elevate the entire experience.
If you have an idea sitting on the shelf, do not wait for scale.
Curate the 50.
Honor the 10.
Serve the 40.
Invite your Founder cohort.
Within 30 days, you will know whether to expand, adjust, or double down.
That’s all for now,
Christel
