Happy Saturday {{first_name}},

About 3 months after founding the EduCreator Community on X, I started hosting a monthly launch event. I was inspired to do this out of frustration initially, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made for my community and for my own business.

I spent about 2 hours a day hosting Live Spaces and growing the community. Each day had a theme related to one of my content pillars: community design, AI tools, newsletters, etc. This is what some would call my “top of funnel” and it all flowed really well.

But I had a huge problem:

Everything I was saying was going in one ear and out the other. They were learning but weren’t implementing.

As a life long teacher, I found it unacceptable that “my students” (community members) were not actually applying what they were learning. From they outside looking in, they were highly engaged. We could talk for hours about the latest video generation tool.

But where was it getting us? Nowhere.

So I started the monthly launch event to encourage community members to launch something. ANYTHING. And have a platform to share what they’re building with a community. We hosted 15 of these launch events and we saw many communities, newsletters, apps, and products born.

The point was to publish, even before they felt ready.

No more analysis paralysis.

Before we go further, let’s check out these words from today’s sponsors. Thank you so much for supporting the partners of this newsletter.

Start Before You Feel Ready

Most founders and entrepreneurs do not get stuck because they lack skill or insight. They get stuck because they are waiting for a feeling that never actually arrives. Readiness feels like something you reach before you move, when in reality it only shows up after you do.

Readiness is not the starting point

Readiness is not something you discover.
It is something you earn in motion.

Confidence does not come before you publish.
Clarity does not come before you press send.
Momentum does not come before you begin.

What most people expect:

  • feel ready

  • get confident

  • take action

What actually works:

  • take action

  • get feedback

  • build confidence

Waiting flips the sequence and keeps you stuck in planning mode.

The quiet cost of waiting

Waiting feels safe.
It feels thoughtful.
It feels productive.

But it carries a cost that adds up quietly over time.

  • missed reps that build skill

  • missed feedback that creates clarity

  • missed connection with your audience

  • missed momentum that compounds

Every week you wait to send the email, share the idea, or launch the next step, you delay learning. And learning is the only thing that creates real readiness.

Why newsletters reward imperfect action

A newsletter is one of the safest places to start before you feel ready.

You are not performing for an algorithm.
You are not trying to keep up with constant posting.
You are writing to people who chose to hear from you.

That matters.

Newsletters are not about perfection. They are about presence. Each send does important work even when it feels simple.

  • it sharpens your thinking because you have to say what you mean

  • it builds trust through consistency

  • it creates momentum through repetition

None of that requires polish. It requires showing up.

What people are really afraid of

When we hesitate, it is rarely about time, tools, or ideas.

It is about being seen before everything is figured out.

There is a fear of saying something incomplete. A fear of being judged while still learning. A fear of not sounding like the finished version of yourself.

But people do not connect to polish the way we think they do. They connect to progress. They connect to honesty. They connect to someone willing to think out loud and grow in public.

Your audience is not waiting for you to be finished.
They are waiting for you to be real.

A simple way to start tonight

If you feel stuck, do not try to write the perfect newsletter.

Write one honest thing instead.

  • one lesson you learned this week

  • one mistake you would approach differently next time

  • one question you are still working through

That is enough.

Send it before you overthink it.

Because every send trains the habit. And habits last longer than motivation.

Start now. Adjust later.

You do not build readiness in private.
You build it in motion.

Start before you feel ready.
Send before you feel confident.
Publish before you feel certain.

That is how we become builders.
And builders do not wait for permission.

That’s all for now,

Christel
