Hello EduCreator!

X is the best place to build your online community. Hands down. I have tried many platforms, paid, free, and everything in between. Nothing comes close to the power of the X platform for finding your “pocket family” as we lovingly call each other.

Whether you are just looking for people that “get you,” have a project or business to share, really love creating, or just come for the sports, news and entertainment: there are communities waiting for you, and hopefully you’ll be inspired to build one of your own.

I’ve been using this framework, the 5 Principles of Community Design, to build engaging, active online communities for myself and for clients since 2021. It is the foundation to everything I do. During today’s pop up space at 2pmEST, I will be sharing how you can optimize the X platform and features to build a the community of your dreams!

Here are the 5 Principles of Community Design

Principle # 1: Big Purpose

Define a significant and meaningful purpose for your community. This overarching goal will guide its existence and activities. This should be something that is unique to you and can not be replicated.

Principle # 2: Ideal Members

Identify and attract members who align with your community's purpose. Strive to create a diverse and engaged group that contributes positively to the shared mission and various projects.

Principle #3: High-Quality Content

Prioritize the creation and sharing of valuable content within your community. Content should be informative, relevant, and enriching to foster a vibrant and knowledge-sharing environment.

Principle #4: High Engagement

Cultivate an environment where members actively participate and engage with one another. Encourage discussions, collaborations, and activities that enhance the sense of community.

Principle #5: Effective Communication

Establish clear and efficient communication channels. Ensure that information flows smoothly, fostering transparency and open dialogue among members.

Utilize these principles as a strategic framework to guide the design and evolution of your X community.

Here’s a clip from our first Livestreaming 101 Workshop where we discuss this really cool feature for branding your studio (quickly and easily) on Streamyard.

One Click Creator Launch #7 was 🔥🔥🔥

Launch #7 was our best so far. Something about having Open Mic brought out the most amazing creative expressions from our community of EduCreators on X. Dan Roeder serenaded us with the most beautiful song while playing piano live. Cameron dazzled us with his surprisingly soothing voice and melody. Justin wow’d the crowd with his freestyle rap. He said he “read the room” and then blew us all away. What a G.

The icing on the cake for me, on top of all of the amazing launches and talented performances, was Josh W. inviting his son to launch. He did so in a Mickey Mouse voice and delivered a perfect launch!
