Happy Tuesday EduCreator!

I was sleeping on email, but I’m not anymore! I was looking at email data and noticed that a creator I’m following on X that rarely engages with my content has opened up 100% of the emails I’ve sent!

Lesson: we never know who is going to relate to our content best in email format.

We had an amazing space this morning with special guest Alin Dragu dropping some real gems about how to grow an engaged email list, reminding us that it’s really about taking action to connect and deliver high value content.

What’s the problem?

Many creators do not have an email list, and if they do, many don’t share it or grow it in any way. The biggest problem with this is that we are completely dependent on the social media platform we’re using to stay connected. With an email list, you can be sure that if someone stops showing up on X one day, you will stay connected.

Don’t overcomplicate this. A simple Google Form is all you need to get started. Reach out to any friends and family that may be interested in your content via text and invite them to join your email list. Use tools like like Beehiiv (free for up to 2500 subscribers) to send emails consistently.
