Top 5 Recurring Revenue Models
Join us for our 15th EduCreator Launch on X tomorrow at 2pmEST
Happy Thursday EduCreator!
I’ll be honest, I’ve stayed very far away from recurring revenue models because I don’t love the thought of being automatically subscribed to anything myself. This is the same mistake I made with starting a newsletter. I assumed because I don’t want to do something, my audience or community wouldn’t want to either.
It took me years to finally figure out that recurring revenue models are definitely the way to go! The key is to:
Offer far more value than people are paying for
Increase the price as the market validates your offer
Start with micro-payments to quickly onboard members and get the community flywheel turning right away
A community flywheel is:
"A self-sustaining cycle where every new member adds value, and that value attracts even more members—turning engagement into growth, and growth into momentum."
In less that a month, I had 50 paying members in my new premium community Miami Global. Once I hit this number, I doubled the price and membership continues to grow. Now we’re building apps together, spending time in live events, and making 1:1 connections.

Join me and your fellow EduCreators on X for our 15th Launch 🚀
Not sure what to build? That’s ok. Come get inspired by what others are building and do what some have done: create an idea and launch right there on the spot! I’ll be pre-launching our new dating app exclusively for X. Get a sneak peek 👀 here.
💸 5 Recurring Revenue Models You Can Start Today
1. Membership Communities
What it is: Charge members monthly for access to exclusive content, events, or support.

What it is: Subscribers pay for curated content, insights, or resources sent regularly. This can also include access into a membership community.

Great for: Writers, educators, and thought leaders building authority.
3. Digital Product Subscriptions
What it is: Offer access to a growing library of templates, prompts, downloads, or tools.
Examples: Payhip, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Notion packs
Great for: Designers, educators, productivity experts.
4. Courses + Ongoing Coaching
What it is: Bundle self-paced learning with monthly Q&A calls or support.
Examples: Teachable, Kajabi, Podia
Great for: Coaches, consultants, and educators.
5. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) / No-Code Tools
What it is: Create and sell a custom tool, GPT, or app people subscribe to.
