Friday Theme: Monetizing with AI
Topic: AI Monetization Friday
Managing Bad Clients
In today’s space, we discussed the importance of vetting your clients. Not doing this is risky for your reputation and revenue stream. Coach Jacob reminded us of the importance of taking on clients that want to go from “ok to great” and avoid the clients that need to go from “terrible to ok.” This is simple concept with massive consequences.
Keep receipts of everything. Record client convos. Use email and text for communication, but mostly email.
Share projects with Notion so you can easily limit access. Have a clearly outlined project plan.
Set clear and strict boundaries for your time.

Hope to see you at 2pmEST for our AI Friday space all about spotting red and green flags, which we began discussing this morning.
Dealing with bad clients can be challenging, but there are effective strategies to manage them:
1. Identify Red Flags Early: Look out for signs such as high demands, late payments, or unreasonable requests to spot bad clients[1][2].
2. Set Clear Boundaries: Remind clients of your policies and boundaries politely. If they consistently overstep them, consider parting ways[2].
3. Maintain Professionalism: Keep the relationship professional and avoid getting too personal with clients to prevent misunderstandings[2].
4. Communicate Effectively: Address issues promptly, ask for specifics, and document agreements in writing to avoid misunderstandings[2][3].
5. Learn from Mistakes: Reflect on past experiences with difficult clients to improve your processes and avoid similar situations in the future[2][4].
Remember, it's essential to prioritize your well-being and business reputation when managing challenging clients. By setting clear expectations, communicating effectively, and knowing when to say no, you can navigate difficult client relationships more effectively[4].
