Hello {{first_name | EduCreator}},

I’ve hosted many launch events over the past decade. Over 20 just in the past few years, between public community launches and private inner circle launches. The hardest part for me is not the logistics, managing multiple irons on the stove.

The part that comes with the most resistance? The most nervousness?

Sending out the invites to people I’m closest to.

This is where the flood of doubt comes in. The voices of opposition (that I’m learning to recognize and silence).

“They probably don’t even take you seriously.”

“They have a lot going on in their life.”

“You haven’t reached out as much as you should have before extending an invitation.”

The list goes on.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, building community and hosting events, is getting over how difficult this part can be. Doing it even though it comes with all types of fears. Sending those invites like it’s your child’s birthday party and you’re going to make sure people come.

This was enough to change the trajectory of my entire business. In this letter, I break down why we struggle with inviting our people and how to move past this.

Before we go any further, let’s check out these words from today’s sponsors. Thank you so much for supporting the partners of this newsletter.

“AI is Going to Fundamentally Change…Everything”

That’s what NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang just said about the AI boom, even calling it “the largest infrastructure buildout in human history.”

NVIDIA’s chips made this real-time revolution possible, but now it’s collaborating with Miso to unlock amazing new advances in robotics

Already a first-mover in the $1T fast-food industry, Miso’s AI-powered Flippy Fry Station robots have worked 200K+ hours for leading brands like White Castle, just surpassing 5M+ baskets of fried food.

And this latest NVIDIA collaboration unlocks up to 35% faster performance for Miso’s robots, which can cook perfect fried foods 24/7. In an industry experiencing 144% labor turnover, where speed is key, those gains can be game-changing.

There are 100K+ US fast-food locations in desperate need, a $4B/year revenue opportunity for Miso. And you can become an early-stage Miso shareholder today. Hurry to unlock up to 7% bonus stock.

Why It’s Harder to Invite Your Inner Circle Than Strangers

I’ve noticed something interesting.

Most of us are not afraid to invite strangers.

We’re afraid to invite people we know.

Strangers feel neutral.
People in your circle feel personal.

When someone who doesn’t know you ignores your event invite, you move on.

When someone you grew up with, worked with, or built relationships with ignores it… it hits different.

And that fear quietly stops a lot of launches before they ever begin.

The Real Fear Isn’t Rejection

It’s identity.

When you invite people close to you into your business, you are doing something deeper than promoting an event.

You’re saying:

This is who I am now.
This is what I’m building.
I’m serious about this.

That feels vulnerable.

Because they knew you before this version of you.

They knew you when you were figuring things out.
When you were unsure.
When you weren’t calling yourself a founder or entrepreneur yet.

Inviting them forces you to own the new identity out loud.

That’s uncomfortable.

1.5M People Spend Their Work Week in Headsets

Over 1.5M professionals have ditched physical monitors for Immersed's virtual workspace. Now they’ve introduced Visor: dedicated hardware, lighter than a smartphone, with 2M more pixels than the Apple’s Vision Pro, and 1/3 the price. Pre-IPO shares are available at $0.66, ahead of a potential public listing.

The Hidden Thought No One Admits

There’s also this quiet thought:

What if they don’t take me seriously?

Or worse.

What if they do… and I fail?

So instead of risking that exposure, we stay quiet.

We tell ourselves they’re busy.
We convince ourselves it might feel awkward.
We decide to “grow a little more first.”

But here’s the truth.

An invitation is not a burden. It’s an opportunity.

You might feel like you’re asking for a favor.
But you’re offering access.

Access to your thinking.
Access to your vision.
Access to something you’re building with intention.

Healthy relationships can handle invitations.

They don’t collapse under them.

Why Starting With Proximity Is Still the Smartest Move

Even with all that emotional resistance, your circle is still your best starting point.

They already trust your character.

They already know your work ethic.

They are far more likely to give you honest feedback instead of polite applause.

And when they see you show up seriously, consistently, and clearly… something amazing happens.

Respect grows.

Momentum builds.

Advocates emerge.

Most people don’t support potential.

They support commitment.

A Different Question to Ask Yourself

Instead of:

What if they judge me?

Try this:

What if they admire the courage?

What if they’ve been waiting to see you take yourself seriously?

What if your launch gives them permission to pursue something they’ve been quietly holding back?

Sometimes the hardest room to walk into is the one filled with people who already know your name.

But that’s often where your real support begins.

If you’re planning a pre-launch to test an idea or product, start here.

Curate the room.
Invite intentionally.
Show up fully.

That’s all for now,

Christel
