Happy Monday EduCreator!

This weekend was a big one for our community. We welcomed in another amazing Founder and we had our first EduCreator get together inside of OCC Metaversity on Saturday. On Sunday, I invited the Founders to join me for a call with a potential client for the agency we are putting together. We are growing at a steady rate and it’s because of the collaborations being formed.

At the end of March 2023, I hired two virtual assistants: Alona and Cristina. I spent months training them on how to use AI to complete the various tasks that I had as a Creator: repurposing content, editing audio and video, client work, etc. Now we are expanding to offer a much wider range of services and our AP for EduCreator participants will be among the first to get referrals.

Corporations and enterprises need AI solutions and trainings. Brands need AI Influencers to promote their products on social media and stand out in a sea of competing attention. One Click Creator is building a team of solutions oriented EduCreators to meet these needs that are in high demand.

Working as a community is the way to go. There can be a fine line between a highly engaged community and a cult, however. In today’s space, we discuss the difference between the two.

Monday Theme: Community Design

Humans are naturally inclined towards building relationships with other humans. We need the support of the people around us to reveal our blind spots, step in on the areas where we are not our best, and to sometimes guide us along the journey.

As we venture into the future, we’re going to have more and more opportunities to become involved with online communities. It’s very important that we understand safe communities and be able to discern behaviors that are red flags.

The main differences between a cult and a community are as follows:

Cult:

- Dogmatic: Very rigid and set way of doing things.

- Isolation: Deliberately isolates its members.

- Adoration: Seeks adoration and devotion from its members.

- Exclusive: Tends to exclude people based on prejudicial ideas.

- Secrecy: Operates with great secrecy, hiding away from society.

- Accountability: No accountability for the actions of the leader/s or inner circle[1][2][3].

Community:

- Openness: Open to questions and challenges, open to the public and media.

- Inclusivity: Inclusive in nature, attempts to include as many people as possible.

- Responsibility: Leaders hold themselves accountable and take responsibility readily.

- Development of Members: A committed core group that provides stability and guidance[1][2][3].

In summary, while a cult is characterized by rigidity, isolation, adoration of leaders, exclusivity, secrecy, and lack of accountability, a community promotes openness, inclusivity, responsibility, development of members, and transparency.
